The Flintstones

The Flintstones was one of the most successful tv-series of all-time. The show started in the early sixties and played on prime time ABC network for another six seasons which included 166 episodes. The television series was first produced by Screen Gems, and now its rights belong to Warner Bros. Television. The story takes place in a town named Bedrock. It takes place during prehistoric times (stone age). The most popular phrase that we still hear today is Fred Flintstone's "Yaba Daba Doo" whenever he is excited about something. There have been 11 video games made about The Flintstones that have had different story lines while keeping the original characters. There have also been two Flintstones movies "Viva Rock Vagas" (2000) and "The Flintstones" (1994). Comic books about the adventures of The Flintstones were very popular when they came out in 1962.

The Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles are a team that are part of the MLB (Major League of Baseball). They are situated in Baltimore, Maryland. They are part of the Eastern Division of the American League. They were established in 1901 but not as their same name. Baseball fans from Baltimore usually call their home team the O's, or The Birds. Their logo consists of an Oriole (a bird) with a ballpark as the background and the letters Orioles in cursive letters across the picture. At home games, the Orioles wear white uniforms with a black cap and on away games, they wear grey uniforms and black caps. They used to be called the Milwaukee Brewers (season of 1901) and then the St. Louis Browns (1902 to 1953). Iexternal image Al_2005_baltimore_01.gifn 1953, they took there name they have today.This team has played in many ballparks over the years such as Memorial Stadium (1954- 1991), in external image BaltimoreOrioles_100.pngSportsman's Park when they were know as the St. Louis Browns from (1902-1953). Their original stadium was Lloyd Street Grounds when they were known as the Milwaukee Brewers for their one season during (1901). They have won the World Series three times during the seasons of 1983, 1970, 1966. The Baltimore Orioles have retired the numbers 4, 5, 8, 20, 22, 33 to honor the best players that had played on their team over the years.

Alex Johnson

Alexander Johnson was born on December 7, 1942, in Helena, Arkansas. He is a former professional baseball player. He played an outfielder for eight MLB teams which included the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, California Angels, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers over the course of 13 seasons. He is most known for his 1970 American League batting title while playing for the California Angels. You may recognize his brother, Ron, who was a professional football player. Johnson turned down many football scholarships to pursue his dream of baseball when he was in high school because he had a certain passion for baseball that he did not have for football.

Manny Sanguillen

Manuel De Jesus Sanguillen Magan, better known as Manny Sanguillen, was born March 21, 1944 in Colon, Panama, was a former catcher in the MLB. He was better known as Sangy. He was a All-Star three times, iexternal image manny_sanguillen_autograph.jpgn 1971, 1972, and 1975. It was Manny Sanguillen who replaced popular Roberto Clemente after he had died in an airplane crash in 1973 and was placed as a right fielder. He was shortly changed back to his normal catcher position after a few unsuccessful at right field. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and for the Oakland Athletics. Sanguillen had a career batting average of .296. Manny Sanguillen is now considered a Pittsburg Pirates legend because of his strong arm at bat and his skill at a pitcher.

Coffee Crisp

Coffee Crisp is a popular, coffee flavored chocolate bar that was created in Canada which was introduced in 1938. The bar is a combination of coffee cream and cookie wafers inside a milk chocolate coating. Many people may think that this candy bar contains high amounts of coffee but the truth is that there is a very small portion of coffee (most of the coffee flaexternal image Coffee-Crisp-King-Size-Web.jpgvor is artificial). The advertising motto is: "Coffee Crisp Makes a Nice Light Snack.". There are many different types of Coffee Crisp such as "Coffee Crisp Orange", "Coffee Crisp Raspberry". Coffee Crisp is also available in "French Vanilla" and "Triple Mocha" flavors. Finally there is "Coffee Crisp Café Caramel" and the limited edition "Coffee Crisp White" There is also a Coffee Crisp ice cream bar which is a new product in the large chain of Coffee Crisp products. Coffee Crisp began marketing nationwide in late July of 2006.
